A: We are a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families and individuals in Central Florida through programs in youth enrichment, workforce development, utility and pantry assistance, and immigrant integration.

A: We primarily serve underserved families in Central Florida, with a special focus on Haitian community and others facing financial or social barriers.

Q: Are donations tax deductible?
A: Yes. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Q: Who qualifies for utility assistance?
A: For the Backyard Missions Program: Orange County residents with a past-due utility bill, final notice, and the applicant’s name on the bill. Applicants must also show ability to cover the remaining balance and future bills.
Q: How much assistance is available?
A: Up to $150 per household, when funds are available.
Q: How often can I apply?
A: One household per cycle.
Q: Who qualifies for shoes?
A: For Soles For Purpose Program: Recently hired workers, veterans, federal or state assistance recipients, and school-age children in need of school shoes.
Q: What kind of shoes are provided?
A: Durable work shoes for employment and school shoes for children.
Q: How do I apply?
A: Applicants must complete our Soles for Purpose application and provide proof of employment or enrollment of Title 1 school or financial hardship.
Q: What services are offered in the Workforce Development Program?
A: Resume building, job application assistance, mock interviews, work culture training, and job placement support.
Q: Is there a cost to join?
A: No, our services are free for participants.
Q: Do you partner with employers?
A: Yes. We actively build partnerships with local employers to connect participants to real job opportunities.
Q: What does the Youth Enrichment Program offer?
A: College tours, career shadowing, mentorship, bilingual support, and scholarship workshops for middle and high school students.
Q: Who can participate?
A: Students in Central Florida, primarily middle and high school students preparing for higher education or career pathways. Mentorship available for elementary students.
Q: How will my donation be used?
A: Your donation directly supports our programs providing utility assistance, shoes, youth opportunities, and job training.
Q: Can I donate items instead of money?
A: Yes! We accept in-kind donations such as toiletries, pantry items, and new shoes for our Soles for Purpose program.
