Soles for Purpose

Soles for Purpose is a community-focused initiative by Our Purpose Project, Inc. that provides essential shoes for both young adults entering or sustaining employment and school-age children in need. Whether it’s work shoes for those starting new jobs or school shoes for children whose families face financial hardships, this program helps ensure individuals can walk with dignity, safety, and confidence. By removing this barrier, Soles for Purpose empowers families to thrive and build a stronger foundation for the future.

Families must register in advance to receive a pair of new shoes. Sign-up opens three weeks before each date.

Through our PEL Referral Program, partner school staff can confidentially refer students in urgent need of shoes at any time.

Soles for Purpose Art Walk

A Creative Journey of Purpose. Progress. People.

The Soles for Purpose Art Walk is a vibrant community experience that celebrates creativity, culture, and compassion. Hosted in partnership with local art galleries, this event brings together youth, families, artists, schools, and community partners for an evening of expression and impact.

At its heart, the Art Walk supports one of our core missions, providing new shoes to youth in need while creating meaningful spaces for them to explore identity, purpose, and imagination through art.

Art + Impact

The Art Walk features artwork created by students, local artists, and community members inspired by themes of purpose, progress, and people. Guests are invited to explore curated exhibits, participate in interactive art stations, and learn more about the stories behind each creation.

Every piece displayed is a reminder that when we empower young people to create, we empower them to dream.

Shoe Support for Students

Through generous donations and community sponsorships, the Soles for Purpose Art Walk provides brand-new shoes for students and families facing financial hardship.

Each pair honors a young person’s journey and reinforces our belief that every child deserves to walk confidently toward their future. Attendees may also support the initiative by participating in our Sponsor a Sole campaign during the event.

By partnering with local gallery spaces, the Art Walk elevates youth art, gives students a professional showcase experience, and strengthens our connection to the arts community. The gallery environment creates a powerful and immersive space for storytelling, cultural celebration, and community conversation.
